Características
Los ríos de la Amazonía llevan consigo el más grande volumen de agua en el mundo. Uno de los ríos más importantes es el Río Napo que recibe la desembocadura de los ríos Coca y Aguarico en su recorrido hacia el Perú, done finalmente se une al Río Amazonas. En 1540, el explorador español Francisco de Orellana descubre el Río. Posteriormente, en 1638 el explorador portugués edro Texeira lo estduia y establece que cuenta con 885 km de longitud. Este río es una importante arteria para la transportación debido a que la mayoría de sus aguas son navegables.
